LiDAR Analyst

Location: CONUS and OCONUS

OGSystems seeks qualified candidates familiar with LIDAR processing, exploitation and dissemination in support of tactical ISR mission needs for geospatial intelligence. These candidates will provide support to OCONUS Mission Ground Station (MGS), CENTCOM, SOCOM, NGA or Army G-2

Position requires candidates with the following qualities: self- starter, strong team player, able to adapt to dynamic environment, ability to complete tasks independently without oversight, and strong customer support skills.

LIDAR analysts will provide CONUS training support and onsite OCONUS support. Prefer candidates with a background in computer science, mathematics or engineering. Skills include imagery analysis or image processing reference given to candidates with experience using 3D Modeling and Exploitation tools such as Quick Terrain Modeler. Responsible for data quality assurance and generating products and imagery from LIDAR and Camera imagery based on customer requests. Cross trained to act as a Data Processor as required.

Anticipated capabilities and experience sought:
• LIDAR sensor data processing (raw data through to 3D point clouds, 3D imagery and digital elevation products)
• Experience with LIDAR remote sensing phenomenology, quantitative quality control metrics and processing performance assessments for each level of processing refinement leading to finished LIDAR product
• Analytical skills in creating, interpreting and exploiting 3D LIDAR products
• Experience with commercial LIDAR exploitation tools or government sponsored LIDAR exploitation toolsets
• Workstation-based exploitation of 3D datasets and creation of finished 3D and 2D products (change detection products, LIDAR intensity imagery, line of sight analysis, 3D projection graphics, trafficability, helicopter landing zones, vertical obstruction detection)
• Experience with creating and using 3D and 2D geospatial file format extensions (geopdf, geotiff, LAS, NITF) and XML-based language schema (KML, KMZ)
