System Architect

Description:

OGSystems seeks candidates to provide system development support for our classified customer and the following position requires candidates with these qualities: self- starter, strong team player, able to adapt to dynamic environment, ability to complete tasks independently without oversight, and strong communication and customer support skills.

Identify, analyze, and define system IT needs. Identify technology solutions with the potential to improve business processes. Work with stakeholders as well as technical and analytical counterparts to define constraints and develop requirements and concept of operations documentation. Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies. Provide conceptual design, prototype, and test cycles appropriate to a chosen technical solution. Identify, document and manage interdependencies with other systems and elements of the IT infrastructure.
Must have a strong technical background in each of the following areas:
• Networking: Protocols (LAN/WAN); Services (DNS, DHCP, FTP/SFTP, DFS); Switches; Routers
• Programming: System; Web; Client/Server; JAVA/JEE; C/C++; Shell Scripting
• Data: ODBC/JDBC; MS SQL; Oracle; XML; MarkLogic
• Infrastructure: Server (Blade, Virtual); Storage (SAN/NAS/DAS); Clustering; Enterprise Monitoring
• INFOSEC: Firewall; PKI; Encryption; Anti-Virus; Patching
