Company Contributions and Leadership Provided to the Community

OGSystems (OGS) is deeply committed to making the communities in which we live and work better places. For us this means that in addition to company donations, we value employees who volunteer their time and talents. It also means we seek out opportunities for OGS employees and their families to volunteer together in activities that reflect our core values. Employees select which charitable projects OGS will support and they propose, manage and staff the projects. For 2009, OGS employees have chosen to support Walter Reed Army Medical Center throughout the year. Employees attended a training program and are gearing up for the first big event of the season, Family Fun Feast, where OGS employees will volunteer at a carnival for the Walter Reed soldiers and their families. OGS is a proud supporter of Our Daily Bread, an organization focused on easing the plight of low income residents in Fairfax County. Last year, the organization matched OGS with 10 families in need and we provided Thanksgiving and Christmas meals and gifts for those families. OGS employees divided into teams and were matched with a family and then went shopping for food and gifts, assembled baskets, wrapped presents and delivered everything to the families. Each year OGS sponsors a team for the National Capital MS Challenge Walk benefiting the Multiple Sclerosis Society. In addition to company’s financial contribution, OGS employees walk 50 kilometers in two days to raise funds to end MS, increase public awareness of the disease, and promote health and fitness.
