OGSystems Honored for Project GiveBack Support

Sponsorship of Project GiveBack

OGSystems was recognized for its sponsorship of Project GiveBack; in particular, for their employee volunteer service and monetary donation given to its annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution program in the Fall of 2014. Project GiveBack began with a mission to provide a way for corporate firms and professionals to give back to their communities. Through its annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution, Project GiveBack has been able to assist over 3,400 families in the Metropolitan Washington, DC Area. OGSystems team members, Joanelle Baptiste, Heather Martinez and Jennifer Cook volunteered their time to pack and deliver boxes full of food for the Thanksgiving holiday to over 1,500 families.

Motivation to volunteer for opportunities such as these comes from my humble beginnings to now being afforded great opportunities in this very community.

- Baptiste -
"When you’ve been blessed, pay it forward and you will become part of the ripple effect." Project GiveBack is always looking for volunteers to support its mission to build community through service. Funding is provided through monetary donations and through a T-shirt fundraiser, with all proceeds being donated to Project GiveBack.

The "I Gave Back" T-shirt is a way to show support during the day of giving. Shirts can be purchased by visiting the link here. This year's fundraising campaign ends on October 27, so be sure to get one today! The 2015 Thanksgiving Food Distribution Program is scheduled for November 21. Joanelle Baptiste will coordinate this year’s team of OGSystems volunteers.
